Nicolas Calogeras rejects the commonplace, ordinary and boring chatter of a CV. What is of interest to the reader of this short text is to get an idea regarding the content of the occupations and regarding the character of the man.

        N. Calogeras is a theorist of art, creator of Self-rejectionism in art and a theorist of Knowledge. From the beginning of the 1990s he began to research ways in which in the future he would achieve the realization of works of art with a new and unconventional content, that is, a substantial evolution which was and is always necessary for the field of art. He challenged the Background, the Content and the Form of the works of art and rejected the system of rules in art to date. His new ideas are found in the theoretical texts of his last two books. The fundamental purpose of these books is the essential evolution of today’s art (through a long transitional period), the essential evolution of the conceptions of Nature and of the conditions of human existence (of the animal species Homo sapiens) in Nature. It is predicted that, inevitably, in the future there will be revolutionary changes in the Theory of Knowledge.

He studied architecture and art theory at the Ecole Superieure d’Architecture de Paris – La Villette and attended classes at the Ecole N. S. des Beaux – Arts in Paris, France. It was there that he began the questioning of the background, the content, the form of the old and the modern works of art and the rejection of the rules of the art until today.

In 2017 he started the creation of self-rejected works of art, whose theoretical support is found in the texts of his two books. The unconventional ideas of these books give birth to the concepts of Self-Rejection in art (including the cosmological conditions of existence themselves) and therefore lead to the creation of self-rejected works of art. Among other things, what expresses the self-rejected work of art is a penetrating and deeply evolutionary perception in all areas of human activity, and therefore in all the arts as a whole. Unfortunately in modern times, what prevails is stagnation and conservatism.

He completely rejects the projection of himself. Promotion and focus should only be on ideas, theoretical texts and self-rejected works of art. He detests the careerist mentality. He always rejected (as far as he was concerned) the holding of solo exhibitions of works of art and his participation in group exhibitions. He is interested in spreading his work through specific collectors of works of art who are looking for new movements and ideas in the field of art, as well as through inspired exhibition organizers who want to shake the stagnant waters of our time and seek a substantial evolution in art.
